Our Probus club was formed in 1995 in Waikanae, on the Kāpiti Coast.
We currently have around 100 members, both men and women, and meet at 10am on the fourth Thursday of every month, except December.
Our meetings are usually held in the Waikanae Community Centre, which is on Utauta Street behind the Waikanae Memorial Hall, and has easy pedestrian access from Waikanae Railway Station, via its car park.
Our club supports a variety of interest groups - free to all members - ranging from Book, Film, Garden and Wine Groups, through to Mah Jong, Scrabble, Pétanque and a variety of others. We alternate, monthly, between an organised trip or dining out.
New members are always welcome. If you would like to join us, please come along to a meeting and introduce yourself or contact our Membership Secretary, Roger Faithfull: probuswaikanaecentral@gmail.com

Christmas Function, 2025
The final function for 2025, our annual Christmas dinner, was very well attended on 5 December, in the Community Centre. With Ian Williams and his team from Relish catering, our treasured Pip and her team taking care of organising and decorating the venue, and Carylann providing the music, it was a most successful and enjoyable way to round off our Club’s year.
